So came the idea of a fusion between the food and astronomy. Eventhough it looks being miles apart yet it has a common ground in getting youngesters attracted to it. So the end product was an ” Astronomy Themed Restaurant”

I’ve been passionate about astronomy and always been attracted to the 3 stars of the Orion constellation. Even though astronomy is a pure science and a hybrid of many fundamental subjects such as Physics, Maths and chemistry yet it has always attracted more youngesters than anyother science subjects.

Parallely i’ve been interested in my culture and wide variety of food it comes with. Let it be the Punjabi thalis or the south Indian dosas, i always get excited whenever i’m gorging it. Without any doubt it is a crowd puller and more so youngesters who are willing to experiment in trying different dishes than the ones they have daily.

Having said all these, the common point is the crowd it can attract more so youngesters (who have a majority stake in Indian population :0). At this point my part of the brain whch deals which economic gets hyper excited. More often than not in economics larger the crowd is always equated with greater profits even with lesser revenue.

So came the idea of a fusion between the food and astronomy. Eventhough it looks being miles apart yet it has a common ground in getting youngesters attracted to it. So the end product was an ” Astronomy Themed Restaurant” which has all the elements based in the reatuarant from the food to cubes to waiters named after astronomical bodies and concepts. Add a little bit of customised menu and it is a perfect receipt for a successful venture.

Coming to the economics side of it which is essentially the backbone of any venture, its got a lot of potential in terms of brand building and numbers. Whatever the concept be, a food is a food basically. Adding an element of freshness in repackaging it would attract more visitors than the normal ones. By consistently pursuing with the brand, it can carve a niche for itself on the long run as have the case studies shown with any “Theme based Restaurants”. So the brand would eventually build the patrons and make for the customers who are considered as permanent numbers. Since it has the numbers, a nominaly prised menu would fetch good profit even though the revenue might be less initially. Also as the astronomical events are common, it can be used for further branding where new ones are introduced as and when the events happen. So with branding as its USP, this venture is sure to be a profitable one.
